Welcome to Ryterly, a UK-registered self-publishing company. These Terms & Conditions outline the rules and responsibilities governing your use of our website, services, and communications.
By accessing our site or purchasing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.


1. Services & Scope

Ryterly provides professional self-publishing services including, but not limited to:

  • Manuscript editing and formatting
  • Cover design and illustration
  • Book publishing and distribution
  • Marketing and promotional support
  • Author branding and consultancy

All services are tailored to each client’s needs and detailed in the individual service agreement or invoice. Ryterly reserves the right to modify, improve, or discontinue any service at any time.


2. Payment Terms

  • Payment in full or part may be required before any project begins.
  • Service fees and packages are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Where a payment plan has been arranged, failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or termination of services.
  • All payments must be made through Ryterly’s approved payment methods.
  • Prices include VAT where applicable under UK tax law.

3. Service Delivery & Revisions

  • Project timelines are agreed upon prior to commencement. These may be affected by the client’s responsiveness or changes in scope.
  • Each package includes a set number of revisions. Additional revisions may be charged separately.
  • Clients must review all deliverables carefully before providing written approval. Once approved, further amendments may require a new agreement or incur additional costs.
  • Ryterly may pause delivery if required materials or approvals are delayed by the client.

4. Ownership & Intellectual Property Rights

  • Upon full payment, the client retains complete ownership of the final deliverables (e.g., manuscripts, cover designs, marketing assets).
  • Ryterly retains ownership of all internal tools, templates, and production materials used in the course of service.
  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Ryterly may display completed projects in its portfolio, marketing materials, or social media channels.
  • If a confidentiality agreement is required, clients must request this in writing before project commencement.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Refund eligibility depends on the stage and nature of the service. Please review our Refund Policy for specific conditions.
  • Once a project has entered the production or finalization stage, refunds are no longer available.
  • To cancel a project, clients must submit a written request to Ryterly. Cancellation fees may apply based on the work completed.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 14 working days.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide accurate, complete, and timely information, materials, and approvals.
  • Ryterly is not responsible for any inaccuracies, legal issues, or copyright infringements within client-provided content.
  • The client confirms that all submitted materials are original and do not infringe on third-party rights.
  • Ryterly is not liable for publishing or distribution issues arising from third-party platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, or others.

7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

  • Our responsibility is limited to the scope of services purchased.
  • Ryterly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses resulting from service use or third-party actions.
  • In all cases, Ryterly’s total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the service in question.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Ryterly complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Client data is collected only for service delivery, communication, and account management purposes.
  • Ryterly does not sell or share client data with third parties without consent.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
